Dr. Green
Chief of Surgery, Cambridge Memorial Hospital
Dr. Lawrence Green is a general surgeon and endoscopist at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery. He is an assistant clinical professor (adjunct) at McMaster University, and is fluent in both English and French.
Dr. Green joined the Division of General Surgery at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in 2005. He completed his medical training at the University of Ottawa School of Medicine in 1998, and continued with his training in general surgery at the University of Toronto. During his residency, he completed a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. He then obtained fellowship training at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary in breast oncology, and head and neck surgery.
Dr. Green’s main clinical interests are thyroid surgery and surgical oncology. As a community surgeon, he has a wide breadth of practice ranging from acute emergencies to elective management of hernia, biliary disease, thyroid, breast, colon cancer, and other procedures. Dr. Green is also an accomplished endoscopist, providing both colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
